Under the direction of the Director/General Manager serves as the Superintendent of the facility's operations work force; ensures safe and efficient traffic management; directs the collection and security of toll revenues; determines necessary facility staffing and scheduling; coordinates/confers with the Captain on all issues related to law enforcement, safety and security of the facility and its customers and employees; identifies and coordinates the facility's maintenance, construction and repair needs with the Maintenance Superintendent, the Facility Engineer and Director/General Manager; provides input to labor relations activities and negotiations; responsible for identifying counseling needs, developing departmental/facility performance standards and determining the need for disciplinary actions; participates in the facility's budget development, monitors performance and takes action when required; participates in public outreach with community leaders regarding facility issues/construction, may represent the facility at community meetings.
- Six (6) years of satisfactory full time experience, at least four years of which must be in a supervisory or managerial capacity in a line function of a toll or transportation organization with direct or relevant applicability to the areas of specialized knowledge detailed below. Satisfactory completion of an Associate’s Degree can be substituted for one year experience described above.
