The E–ZPass^® customer base has grown steadily each year since MTA introduced the technology to New York City motorists in 1995. Increased E–ZPass^® usage is also good for New York and surrounding areas-swifter traffic flowing through toll lanes is better for the environment. E-ZPass^® tag holders have automatic savings and the advantage of a quick and easy toll payment compared to our cash customers. You’ll be able to pass through toll plazas, without fumbling for cash, tickets or tokens, or rolling down your window. All E-ZPass^® users help reduce congestion, thus reducing toll plaza delays, and auto emissions caused by idling engines.
E-ZPass^® customers are also provided detailed statements of your toll usage for your record-keeping purposes, and automatic account replenishment by credit card is available.
