Take the Train to Long Island's Colleges and Universities
If you are traveling to one of Long Island’s fine universities or colleges, why not take the train? The Long Island Rail Road provides frequent service with convenient bus or taxi connections from many of our stations.

Tickets
One way and round-trip tickets are sold at station ticket offices, online or through our convenient ticket machines. For substantial savings, purchase off-peak ten trip, weekly and monthly tickets.

Buy before boarding – the best way to buy tickets is by purchasing them in advance.

UniTicket
UniTicket combines bus fare and LIRR train fare into a convenient, money–saving ticket. Monthly and weekly LIRR UniTickets are available in combination with Long Island Bus, Long Beach Bus, HART, and select New York City Transit bus routes.

Accessibility Information
Half fare tickets are available for customers with physical disabilities or for persons 65 years or older (not available on peak AM westbound trains). Trains and buses are wheelchair accessible.
