MacArthur Airport Package

A convenient way to Long Island MacArthur Airport (LIMA), located just 1.5 miles away from our Ronkonkoma Station.

Discount package includes one-way rail to/ from Ronkonkoma Station and Village Taxi to/from the airport. Just hand your stub to a Village Taxi driver. This package is not available at the airport or on-board trains, so purchase the tickets prior to the trip to save money. Tickets are one-way; purchase two
in advance for round-trips. Package tickets are available at ticket offices or from gray or blue, "Tickets" machines under "Getaways & Packages". These tickets are good on off-peak and peak trains; customers can save up to $4.50.

Weekday Service 5-7 PM - Due to rush hour service requirements in the opposite direction and our single track limitation, there are no westbound trains on the Ronkonkoma Branch during this period. Customers leaving the airport during this time period may elect to take a Colonial Taxi to Sayville Station, and pay the driver. Package tickets should not be purchased for use during this time period.

Children: Package tickets are not sold. On off-peak trains, up to four children, ages 5-11, may accompany each adult for $1.00 each way ($1 onboard fare); peak fares are 1/2 the price of regular adult rail fares - children under 5 are free. Shuttle fare ($5) can be paid directly to Village Taxi driver for each child - children under 8 are free.

Buying Tickets at LIRR Gray, Green or Blue Ticket Machines:
Gray, green and blue machines accept credit and debit cards; gray and green machines also accept cash. Select "Deals & Getaways", then "Long Island Getaways" followed by the tour or package of your choice (listed in alphabetical order). Escorted tour tickets can be purchased up to midnight on Thursday of the week of the tour. Non-escorted "Package" tickets are available on all days that are valid for without time restrictions. Rail tickets are valid for 60 days from date of sale, refundable for 60 days from date of sale (full package only) - subject to $10 refund processing fee per transaction.

Getting There:

Take any Ronkonkoma Branch train to/from Ronkonkoma Station, and board the Colonial Transportation Shuttle:

• SHUTTLE LOCATION - Village Taxi is located at 90 Railroad Avenue northside of Ronkonkoma Station..
• HOURS - Shuttle operates to meet all Ronkonkoma trains.
• USE THE OVERPASS - Customers arriving on the center or south side platform can use the overpass to the north side. When traveling from NYC/western stations, sit in the middle of the train for easier access to overpass, and follow directional signage.
• AIRPORT STOPS - The shuttle will pick up curbside by baggage claim; follow the directional signs.

Luggage
We recommend that you bring only luggage that you can comfortably carry yourself. The LIRR does not offer redcap or baggage handling services. Luggage should be stored in overhead racks and not take up seat space or block the aisles or doorways of trains. Luggage may not be left unattended and customers must remain near their luggage. Bags and containers are subject to random search by MTA police.
