It doesn't happen often. The Long Island Rail Road runs more than a
quarter of a million trains a year, and we hardly ever have to evacuate
a rail car. But even though emergencies and evacuations are rare,
we train our personnel for them regularly, and we want you to be
familiar with our evacuation procedures. Please read the 'Stop, Look,
and Listen' tips on the next page carefully. Then, in the unlikely
event that your train meets with an emergency, you'll know exactly
what to do. |
