To Live Forever uses more than more than 100 objects from the Museum’s world renowned holdings of ancient Egyptian art to illustrate the range of strategies the Egyptians developed to defeat death. The exhibition contains funeral equipment for the rich, middle class, and poor, and reveals how the poor tried to imitate the costly grave goods of the rich in order to ensure a better afterlife.

The exhibition is supported by the Brooklyn Museum’s Charles Edwin Wilbour Fund.

Kiki Smith: Sojourn is a major installation that explores the ideas of creative inspiration and the cycle of life in relation to women artists.  Sojourn focuses on a variety of universal experiences, from the milestones of birth and death to daily domestic chores.

This exhibition is on display in the Elizabeth A. Sacker Center for Feminist Art, and made possible by the Elizabeth A Sackler Foundation.
