NYCT Subway/JFK AirTrain Service John F. Kennedy Airport

Connection:

From Grand Central Terminal. Take the subway shuttle to Times Square (S), or the #7 Subway Line to Times Square. At Times Square, take the "A" Train to Howard Beach Station and transfer to the JFK AirTrain.

Frequency of Bus Service:

• Subway Shuttle: Operates 5:50 AM to 12 PM. At other times use the #7 Train.


• "A" Subway Train: 5:30 AM- 11:30 PM, every 6-10 minutes; 11:30 PM-5:30 AM, every 15-20 minutes


• JFK AirTrain: every 5-10 minutes, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Fares:

--NYCT: $2.25, payable with MetroCard or coins
--JFK AirTrain: $5, payable with a Pay-per-Ride MetroCard (Unlimited MetroCards not accepted), also available at AirTrain Terminal.

Travel Time:

Approximately 75 minutes total, including 15 minutes allotted for waiting time for connections and walking.

Bus Locations:

At Grand Central, follow the signs to Subway Station for the shuttle (S) or #7 Train, then ride to Times Square.

At Times Square follow signs to the "A" Train (about a 6-minute walk). Take the "A" Train marked "Rockaway" to Howard Beach Station. At Howard Beach, look for directional signs to the AirTrain.

ADA Information:

Due to the Shuttle (S) passageway to the "A" Train not being ADA accessible, this travel option is not ADA compliant.
