Thank you for purchasing this package to the fairest of the fairs! You’ll enjoy an amazing day at New York State’s largest six-day fair. Come for the day…or come back again and again during the week.

IMPORTANT: RAIL TICKETS ARE VALID FOR TRAVEL UP TO 30 DAYS INCLUDING DATE OF PURCHASE.

As you can see, you have received two tickets: a round-trip rail ticket (VALID FOR OFF-PEAK TRAVEL ONLY), and a special event ticket marked “DUTCHFAIR”.

To get to the Fair, take Metro-North’s Hudson Line to Poughkeepsie Station. Give the conductor your rail ticket to punch and give back to you. Make sure to hold on to your rail ticket for your return trip home.

To get to and from the Fair and Poughkeepsie Station, you will need to take the connecting shuttle bus. When you get off the train, follow the signs to the bus area and look for the Fair bus.

When you board the shuttle, you need to pay an extra fare for the round-trip bus ($5). This fare IS NOT included in your package price. The bus ride from Poughkeepsie Station to the Fair is approximately one hour.

TO FAIRGROUNDS

Shuttle bus meets trains departing Grand Central and arriving Poughkeepsie at 9:34 a.m., 10:34 a.m. and 12:34 p.m. Shuttle departs the station at 9:50 AM, 10:50 AM and 12:50 PM to the Fairgrounds.

FROM FAIRGROUNDS

Bus departs the fairgrounds at 4:50 p.m. and 7:50 p.m. to connect with the 5:40 p.m., and 8:40 p.m. trains departing Poughkeepsie Station for Grand Central Terminal.
