The experience

It's a wine lover's paradise at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds! Chat with wine professionals, purchase fine wines by the bottle (or the case), and munch on sample foods from many Hudson Valley farms and restaurants.

Upon arriving at the Festival, guests 21 years of age or older will receive a brochure and a souvenir wine glass. You can purchase gourmet specialty foods, fine arts, crafts and more from more than 150 vendors including over 60 wineries.

You must first purchase your package at any Metro-North ticket office or full-service ticket machine (excluding Poughkeepsie Station). Then, IN ORDER TO SECURE YOUR SEAT ON THE BUS, RESERVATIONS MUST BE MADE NO LATER THAN 5 P.M. WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 5, BY CALLING 888-687-2517.

The deal

  • On sale August 11. Package price from GCT/Harlem-125th Street: adults, $61.25; seniors, persons with disabilities and individuals receiving Medicare, $56; children 12-20, $51.25; children 5-11, $1.50; children under 5, free. Package includes rail, shuttle and admission to the festival.

Getting there
