MID-HUDSON CHILDREN'S MUSEUM
year-round
Tuesday through Sunday
The experience
The Mid-Hudson Children's Museum offers hands-on experiences for children and families. You'll find exhibits and programs that spark creativity, nourish the curious mind, and inspire children to discover and learn through play.
At the Museum, every exhibit is interactive, allowing little hands and growing minds to explore, play, and learn. The first floor features the newest exhibit, RiverTown, a multicultural interactive village for children to explore. There's also an exclusive infant and toddler area, "Little Sprouts Farm," and a colorful locomotive housing two kid-size computers full of educational and entertaining games.
On the Museum's second floor, journey back in time into a scene from the American Revolution, explore the inside of a beating heart and travel the path of a tiny blood cell, dive into the depths of the Hudson River in the museum's giant Yellow Submarine, scale the rock climbing wall, venture into virtual reality, see the world through a bubble and much more!
The Museum is open Tuesday through Sunday, 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and select Monday school holidays. Closed: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day. Visit www.mhcm.org for a full list of special events, daily activities, and more information, email info@mhcm.org or call 845-471-0589.
