A SKY-HIGH FAMILY ADVENTURE

The experience

The Mid-Hudson Children's Museum offers hands-on experiences full of wonderment for children and families.  Here you will find exhibits and programs that spark creativity, nourish the curious mind, and inspire children to discover and learn through play.

Located on the banks of the Hudson River in historic downtown Poughkeepsie, the Children's Museum is conveniently located only steps from the Poughkeepsie Station!  Outside the Museum there are picnic areas, a skate board park, and the Walkway Over the Hudson Historic State Park is a 15-minute walk.

At the Museum, every exhibit is interactive, allowing little hands and growing minds to explore, play, and learn.  There are two floors of hands-on exhibits and play spaces.  Some of the exhibits include: RiverTown, a multicultural interactive village, "Little Sprouts Farm", the Hyde Park Mastodon Ice Age to Today, A Hudson River Water Play Table and WKID Radio Station!

The Museum also features many special events, new exhibitions and programs for families.
