IMPORTANT: RAIL TICKETS ARE VALID FOR TRAVEL UP TO 30 DAYS INCLUDING DATE OF PURCHASE.

As you can see, you have received two tickets: a round-trip rail ticket (VALID FOR OFF-PEAK TRAVEL ONLY), and a special event ticket marked “OYSTERFEST”.

To get to the Festival, take Metro-North’s New Haven Line to South Norwalk Station. Give the conductor your rail ticket to punch and give back to you. Make sure to hold on to your rail ticket for your return trip home.

When you get off the train at South Norwalk Station, look for the yellow school bus with the sign that reads “Oyster Festival Shuttle”. That is the shuttle bus to the Oyster Festival. It will be waiting on the north-bound (to New Haven”) side of the station to take you to the event. When you board, remember to show the driver your special event ticket marked “OYSTERFEST”. On return trip from the Festival, the shuttle will pick-up in the same location where you were dropped off.

Be sure to pick up a current New Haven Line timetable prior to departing Grand Central.

Friday, September 9: Shuttle bus service begins with the 4:12 p.m. train from Grand Central Terminal, arriving South Norwalk Station at 5:20 p.m. Service continues to meet trains throughout the evening until the last bus leaves the festival at 10:50 p.m. to meet the 11:16 p.m. train departing South Norwalk Station, arriving Grand Central Terminal at 12:36 a.m.

Saturday, September 10: Shuttle bus service begins with the 9:07 a.m. train from Grand Central Terminal, arriving South Norwalk Station at 10:06 a.m. Service continues to meet trains throughout the day until the last bus leaves the festival at 11:30 p.m. to meet the 12:23 a.m. train departing South Norwalk Station, arriving Grand Central Terminal at 1:25 a.m.

Sunday, September 11: Shuttle bus service begins with the 9:07 a.m. train from Grand Central Terminal, arriving South Norwalk Station at 10:06 a.m. Service continues to meet trains throughout the day until the last bus leaves the festival at 8:15 p.m. to meet the 8:38 p.m. train departing South Norwalk Station, arriving Grand Central Terminal at 9:39 p.m.
