As you can see, you have received two tickets: a round-trip rail ticket and a special event ticket marked “THUNDER SKI”.

To get to the Thunder Ridge Ski Area, take Metro-North’s Harlem Line to Patterson Station.  Give the conductor your rail ticket to punch and give back to you.  Make sure to hold onto your rail ticket for the return trip home. 

When you get to the station, look for the shuttle bus that says “SKI TRAIN”; it will be waiting to take you to the ski area.  When you get to Thunder Ridge, present your ticket that says “THUNDER SKI” and you will receive your ski lift ticket and discount on ski equipment rental. 

Weekday:  The bus meets trains leaving Grand Central at 9:48 AM, and 11:48 AM for Patterson Station.  The shuttle leaves the ski area to connect with the 4:50 PM, 6:36 PM and 8:54 PM trains leaving Patterson Station, arriving Grand Central at 6:36 PM, 8:32 PM and 10:32 PM.

Weekend: The bus meets trains leaving Grand Central at 7:46 AM, 9:48 AM, and 11:48 AM for Patterson Station.  On Saturdays, buses leave the ski area to connect with the 4:55 PM, 6:52 PM, and 8:55 PM trains from Patterson Station to Grand Central Terminal. On Sundays, the last shuttle leaves the ski area to connect with the 4:55 PM train leaving Patterson Station, arriving Grand Central at 6:41 PM.
