IMPORTANT: RAIL TICKETS ARE VALID FOR TRAVEL UP TO 14 DAYS FROM DATE OF PURCHASE.

As you can see, you have received two tickets: a round-trip rail ticket (VALID FOR OFF-PEAK TRAVEL ONLY) and a special event ticket marked “TOPROCK”. When you board your Metro-North train, give the conductor your rail ticket. It will be punched and given back to you. Make sure to hold onto your rail ticket for your return trip home.

Once you get to Top of the Rock, redeem your special event ticket that says “TOPROCK” at “Will Call”, located on the Concourse Level, for a timed voucher; you will then be given the next available time slot.* (Ticket times are every five minutes, from 8:30 AM to 10:55 PM. Doors open at 8 AM and close at midnight). The entire experience is self-guided, so stay as long as you like.

Take the Hudson, Harlem or New Haven Line to Grand Central Terminal. From there take the following:

Bus: Take the northbound M1, M2, M3, M4, or Q32 bus (located on Madison Avenue and 42nd Street) to 50th Street. Walk two blocks west to Rockefeller Plaza (across Fifth Avenue), toward Sixth Avenue to the entrance.

Walking: Exit the Terminal using the Grand Central North exit at Madison Avenue/47th Street. Walk three blocks north to 50th Street; then two blocks west to Rockefeller Plaza (across Fifth Avenue). Continue walking toward Sixth Avenue to the entrance. The walk takes approximately 15 minutes.
