Take the Newburgh-Beacon Ferry (operated by NY Waterway®)and Metro-North Railroad to save time on your commute to Manhattan or other local Metro-North stations. The ferry/train combination is the fastest, most reliable way into the city, getting you to and from Grand Central Terminal in about 90 minutes. The ferry and railroad are convenient and comfortable. The ferry has enclosed seating and is climate-controlled. And you can relax and not worry about traffic.
Six ferries run in the morning and eight run in the evening, meeting frequent Beacon express trains to and from the city. There's plenty of free parking at the Newburgh facility. At Beacon, the ferry dock is only steps away from the station.
You can pay for the ferry by buying a "UniTicket," which is a greatly discounted unlimited-ride monthly combination ferry/rail ticket for $331 a month. ($321 a month for the train plus ONLY $10 a month for the ferry.) Other pricing options are available. Call for details.
We also have a Guaranteed Ride Home program that offers monthly UniTicket customers taxi service from Beacon Station to their home or car during times when there is no scheduled ferry service (weekday, off-peak). Restrictions apply.
For ticket purchasing information and other information, call 800-METRO-INFO (1-800-638-7646); in NYC call 212-532-4900.
