FARE PAYMENT
Ticket collectors will be posted on the station mezzanine level. Customers must show a rail ticket to exit the station and proceed to the game, or to access the station platforms and board trains after the game. Please hold on to your ticket throughout your travel time to and from the game.
BUYING TICKETS
Always purchase a round-trip ticket in advance to Yankees-E. 153rd Street Station whether you are using direct train service or connecting service from Harlem-125th Street or Grand Central Terminal.
Buy round-trip or one-way tickets before boarding the train:
- At your departure station, tickets are available at any open ticket office and all ticket machines.
- At Yankees-E. 153rd Street Station, tickets can be purchased at ticket machines situated on the station mezzanine, or from ticket sellers located in the mezzanine area.
- Online through WebTicket.
- When purchasing a ticket to Yankees-E. 153rd Street Station, you must purchase a peak ticket if part of your trip is during peak travel time (examples: traveling from Grand Central Terminal to a weekday evening game between 4 PM and 8 PM; or leaving Yankees-E. 153rd Street and travelling on the Harlem or New Haven Lines between 4 PM and 8 PM). However, if you are traveling on the Harlem or New Haven Lines to a weekday evening game and transferring at Harlem-125th Street or Grand Central Terminal during the peak, you can purchase an off-peak ticket between your boarding station and Yankees-E. 153rd Street Station.
MONTHLY TICKET CUSTOMERS
Harlem and New Haven lines: Monthly and weekly tickets to Harlem-125th Street and Grand Central Terminal are good for travel between Grand Central Terminal and Yankees-E. 153rd Street Station at no extra charge.
These tickets are also good for travel between the outlying station on your Harlem and New Haven line ticket and Yankees-E. 153rd Street Station at no extra charge.
Port Jervis and Pascack Valley lines: Metro-North monthly and weekly tickets to Hoboken and Penn Station-NY are good for travel between Grand Central Terminal and Yankees-E. 153rd Street Station at no extra charge. These tickets may also be used for travel between an outlying Hudson Line station and Yankees-E. 153rd Street; however, an additional charge may apply depending on the zone of your boarding station.
Direct train service via the Hudson, Harlem, and New Haven lines is provided for weekday 7 PM games, as well as all weekend and holiday games during the season. Frequent shuttle service via Grand Central Terminal/Harlem-125th Street is also available for all games: weekdays, weekends, and holidays. You can always get to your destination during or after the game by taking frequent shuttle service to Harlem-125th Street or Grand Central Terminal and connecting with regularly scheduled service to outlying points.

FROM GAME
Frequent shuttle service via Grand Central Terminal/Harlem-125th Street is provided during or after all games connecting to regularly scheduled service to outlying points. In addition, Post-Game Direct Trains are provided for all games, except the 1:05 PM weekday games. Schedules for these Game Trains (marked in the timetable with Y or Z) will be subject to adjustment depending on when the game ends (see Post-Game Direct Trains section). Trains will depart beginning approximately 20 minutes after the final out, with the last direct train departing about 45 minutes after the final out. For details view our game day train schedules.
If Yankees games go into post-season play (beyond September 26th), special train schedules will be developed.
Alcoholic Beverages: The MTA Police wants you to know that alcoholic beverages in open containers are not permitted in the Yankees-E. 153rd Street Station complex.
NON-GAME STATION USE FOR REGULAR COMMUTERS
Don't forget that there's regular year-round service for Bronx residents and visitors. The station will serve as yet another access point between the Bronx and Hudson Line communities, such as Yonkers, Tarrytown, Beacon, and Poughkeepsie.
Please note: Backpacks and other containers will not be allowed into Yankee Stadium for all post-season games. Check the Yankees' website for a complete list of prohibited items. |
