This project will provide for the replacement of all automatic signals and two (2) existing interlockings (Dyre and Morris Park) with two different Solid State Interlockings (SSI) along the #5 “Dyre” Line. This work will bring the automatic signals and its two (2) Interlockings to current NYCT standards, which will reduce the likelihood of signal failures. In addition, this project will allow for interlocking control from either the new RCC or the Dispatcher’s Remote Workstation. The scope of work includes the following tasks:

Fix block signal control, operate the Morris Park and Dyre Avenue interlockings by Solid State Interlocking (SSI) processors that are CBTC/ATS ready
Install a non-vital SSI processor to replace non-vital relays for signal selection circuits and remote that is CBTC/ATS ready
Replace all wayside signal equipment such as, insulated joints, track circuits, electric stop layouts, electric switch machines signal heads, cable signs, ancillary equipment and related track work necessary for the final layout
Install new messenger system and new cables as required
Provide all signal power and signal power distribution necessary for the installation
