Manhattan-bound traffic exiting the RFK Bridge Harlem River Lift Span can now use the newly constructed East 125th Street exit ramp, which opened ahead of schedule earlier this month. Drivers had been using an adjacent temporary exit ramp since November 2015, while the original 1930s ramp was demolished and replaced with a reinforced concrete structure and steel roadway supports. The work was completed in less than eleven months, about a month ahead of schedule.

Governor Andrew M. Cuomo today announced the Long Island Rail Road will resume full rush hour service this afternoon on the Ronkonkoma, Port Jefferson and Oyster Bay Branches. Service on those branches was disrupted in the wake of a derailment east of New Hyde Park on Saturday night.

MTA Long Island Rail Road crews have restored eastbound train service to one of the two Main Line tracks east of New Hyde Park where a train derailed on Saturday night. The restoration allows train service to resume during the mid-dayon the LIRR’s Port Jefferson, Ronkonkoma and Oyster Bay Branches. Trains will run at reduced speeds near the affected area. Customers should expect some delays and cancellations as a result.

Cuomo has announced the addition of Apple Pay and Masterpass digital wallet technology to MTA eTix, the mobile ticketing app that enables Metro-North Railroad and Long Island Rail Road customers to purchase their tickets anywhere, anytime. Starting tomorrow morning, customers of these services will be able to use both services to purchase one way, round trip, ten trip, weekly, CityTickets -- as well and monthly passes —through MTA eTix.
