FASTRACK Comes to Washington Heights/Inwood
The card was introduced in February 2012 to attract new customers who wanted a more convenient way to use cash to pay E-ZPass tolls. While E-ZPass customers have always had the option of adding cash to their accounts, doing so previously required a trip to an E-ZPass walk-in center.
MetroCards can now be refilled with a combination of both unlimited-ride time and pay-per-ride dollar values.
