MTA New York City Transit has opened an enhanced Bay Ridge Ave R Subway station in Brooklyn, and more improvements are on the way. The MTA further announced that its Capital Plan now includes $40 million for ADA-accessibility projects at the 77 St and Bay Ridge-95 St stations on the R Subway line. The Capital Plan, which was amended this summer, features a quartet of projects in Bay Ridge at 59th Street, 77th Street, 86th Street and Bay Ridge-95th Street, respectively.

Metro-North Railroad has expanded Ride2Drive, a program that makes Zipcars available at select Metro-North stations, to four more East of Hudson stations and two West of Hudson stations. Metro-North customers who join Zipcar, can now access a total of 26 vehicles at 15 Metro-North stations. With the expansion of the Ride2Drive program, Metro-North offers new Hudson Valley getaway packages, all within easy reach from select stations via Zipcar.
