Robin’s Egg Blue
Robin’s Egg Blue is a NYC-based folk-rock Japanese band, formed in 2009 by vocalist Atsumi Ishibashi on vocals and guitarist Masashi Ishiura. The group creates alternative sounds influenced by Japanese traditional soul and recorded their first EP “Songbird” with a producer Dougie Bowne. They regularly perform at venues such as Webster Hall and Kenny’s Castaways and have collaborated with various artists and professional sculptors through shows at Brooklyn Dumbo Art Center. Robin’s Egg Blue performed for the Japan relief fund with j-Summit NY at the Bowery Electric and in March 2011 received the Honor Award by the American Heart Association. Later in the year they participated in “Jazz in July”, the jazz festival in New Rochelle, NY.
