Porcelain enamel on downtown platform wall
The museums and cultural institutions in midtown Manhattan are on display at Art Stop at the Fifth Avenue-53rd Street subway station. Drenttel Doyle and Partners were selected by MTA Arts for Transit and area institutions as the graphic designers for the project. The result is 73 porcelain enamel panels on the station platform that invite and inform riders of the area's offerings, which include the Museum of Television and Radio, the Municipal Art Society, the American Folk Art Museum, the Donnell Library Center of the New York Public Library, and the Museum of Modern Art. Selected Arts for Transit projects are also spotlighted.
