Robert F. Kennedy Bridge Harlem River Lift Span Closed

The RFK Bridge Harlem River Lift Span will be closed to all traffic Fri. July 24 between 12:01 a.m. and 5 a.m. while a biennial inspection is conducted. Motorists must use an alternate route.

The work requires a full five-hour closure since the span must remain in the lifted position during the inspection.

MTA To Open New Belt Parkway Ramp To Staten Island-Bound Lower Level Of Verrazano-Narrows Bridge

Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) Bridges and Tunnels is scheduled to open a new ramp connecting the Belt Parkway to the Staten Island-bound lower level of the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge next week. The ramp is part of the $84.3 million project to construct a new lane for buses and high-occupancy vehicles (HOV) that will eventually connect to the Bus/HOV lane on the Gowanus Expressway. The new ramp will require motorists to enter from the right lane of the approach ramp rather than the left lane.

Access to Bronx-bound Henry Hudson Bridge Closed Sunday Morning for NYC Triathlon

The northbound lanes of the Henry Hudson Parkway leading to the Bronx-bound Henry Hudson Bridge will be closed Sunday, July 19 between 4 a.m. and noon for the biking portion of the NYC Triathlon. Motorists should use an alternate route during this period and expect delays.

Bicyclists will travel up the Henry Hudson Parkway from 79th Street, cross the Henry Hudson Bridge, exit at Moshulu Parkway, make a U–turn at West Gun Hill Road and return southbound along the same route.

Queens Midtown Tunnel Manhattan-bound Tube Closed Several Hours Nightly During Next Two Weeks

The Manhattan-bound (north) tube at the Queens Midtown Tunnel will be closed nightly between 11 p.m. and 2 a.m., Monday night through Friday morning for the next two weeks for FDNY inspections.

One lane will remain open in each direction in the remaining tube. Motorists should allow extra time and use an alternate route if possible.

Throgs Neck Bridge Work Will Result in Weekend Lane Closures Throughout The Summer

Several Bronx-bound lanes and one Queens-bound lane at the Throgs Neck Bridge will be closed throughout the summer in order to replace a total of 75,000-square-feet of binder and asphalt overlay.

The work is scheduled to begin this weekend, Fri., July 10-Mon., July 13 and will take at least six, non-consecutive weekends to complete.

Kennedy Bridge complex by rebuilding the original 1930s-era Bronx toll plaza and the East 125th St entrance and exit ramps. This work is part of $1 billion in investments committed through 2026 to ensure the 79-year-old bridge continues to serve its 170,000 daily customers and unite the New York region.

One lane will be open in each direction in remaining tube

The Queens-bound (south) tube at the Queens Midtown Tunnel will be closed to traffic from 10:30 p.m. Friday, June 19 through 5:30 a.m. Monday, June 22 for removal of ceiling panels damaged during Superstorm Sandy.

Motorists are advised to use an alternate route if possible.
