Intermittent Closures of the Marine Park Bridge for Necessary Maintenance Work Scheduled for Early Friday

Intermittent, full closures at the Marine Park Bridge are scheduled on Thursday, November 17, from 11:00 p.m. to 5 a.m. Friday, November 18, for maintenance work.

Each closure lasts approximately 20 minutes. Motorists may experience delays and should consider an alternate route.

Lift Tests at RFK Bridge Harlem River Lift Span Scheduled for Early Friday

Intermittent, full closures at the Robert F. Kennedy Bridge’s Harlem River Lift Span are scheduled on Friday, November 18, from 12:01 a.m. to 5 a.m. for maintenance work.

Throgs Neck Bridge Bronx-Bound Weekend Lane Closures For Milling and Paving Work: Friday, November 4 to Sunday, November 6

Up to two Bronx-bound lanes will be closed this weekend at the Throgs Neck Bridge starting Friday night, November 4 through Sunday morning, November 6. At least one lane will remain open to Bronx-bound traffic. Queens-bound lanes are unaffected.

Verrazano-Narrows Bridge Closed for TCS NYC Marathon Sun., Nov. 6

The Verrazano-Narrows Bridge will be closed to all vehicular traffic on Sunday, Nov. 6 between 7 a.m. and approximately 3 p.m. for the TCS New York City Marathon. Motorists traveling to Brooklyn or Staten Island via the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge must use alternate routes.

Necessary Maintenance Work Scheduled for This Week at the RFK Bridge Queens Suspended Span

Two lanes will be closed, Queens-bound, on the RFK Queens Suspended Span, from 9pm to 5am, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (10/31, 11/1, 11/2) for necessary maintenance testing. Two lanes will remain open in the Queens-bound direction.

New RFK Bridge Exit Ramp to E125th Street Opens Ahead of Schedule

Manhattan-bound traffic exiting the RFK Bridge Harlem River Lift Span can now use the newly constructed East 125th Street exit ramp, which opened ahead of schedule earlier this month.

Drivers had been using an adjacent temporary exit ramp since November 2015, while the original 1930s ramp was demolished and replaced with a reinforced concrete structure and steel roadway supports. The work was completed in less than eleven months, about a month ahead of schedule.

Traffic Diverted at Three MTA Crossings Sunday for Bike MS 2016

The Bike MS 2016 event on Sunday, October 23rd will impact motorists who normally use the MTA’s Robert F. Kennedy Bridge, Henry Hudson Bridge and Hugh L. Carey Tunnel. Although the race will not result in the closure of any bridge or tunnel, several exit and entrance ramps will be impacted.

Motorists should be aware of the closures and use alternate routes if possible.

Henry Hudson Bridge

7 a.m. to Noon: There will be no access to the southbound Henry Hudson Bridge heading into Manhattan.

Queens Midtown Tunnel Ongoing Superstorm Sandy Repairs: One Tube Closed Every Weekend: Starts Oct. 14, 2016

One tube of the Queens Midtown Tunnel will be closed every weekend, starting Friday nights, from 11:00 p.m. through Monday mornings at 5:30 a.m., to accommodate ongoing Superstorm Sandy restoration work.  One lane in each direction will always remain open in the other tube during periods when one tube is closed.
