The upper level of the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge will remain open the rest of this week, Aug. 6 to Aug. 9, since scheduled work has been completed.

RFK Bridge Harlem River Lift Span Intermittent Full Closures Friday, Aug. 8
There will be multiple, intermittent closures for maintenance work at the Robert F. Kennedy Bridge’s Harlem River Lift Span Fri., Aug. 8 between 12:01 a.m. and 5 a.m. for maintenance work. 
Motorists should expect delays and use an alternate route if possible. Each closure is expected to last up to approximately 20 minutes.

One Tube Closed This Weekend At Hugh L. Carey Tunnel
One tube at the Hugh L. Carey Tunnel will be closed from 9 p.m. Fri., Aug. 8 through 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 10 for repaving work. 
The remaining tube will have one lane heading into Manhattan and one lane into Brooklyn. Motorists may experience delays.

Verrazano-Narrows Bridge Nighttime Upper Level Closures Planned Beginning Mon. Aug 4 Through Wed., Aug. 20
TheVerrazano-Narrows upper level will be closed between 9 p.m. and 5-6 a.m. beginning Mon. Aug. 4 through Wed., Aug. 20 for the removal and installation of new steel sign gantries and signs. 
Motorists will be able to use the lower level of the bridge, which will remain fully open, while this work is done.

Parkway lanes to Henry Hudson Bridge closed Sunday, Aug. 3 for NYC Triathlon
The northbound lanes of the Henry Hudson Parkway leading to the Bronx-bound Henry Hudson Bridge will be closed Sunday, August 3, between 4 a.m. and noon for the biking portion of the NYC Triathlon.  
Motorists are advised to expect delays and use an alternate route during this period.
Bicyclists will travel up the Henry Hudson Parkway from 79th Street, cross the Henry Hudson Bridge, exit at Moshulu Parkway, make a U–turn at West Gun Hill Road and return southbound along the same route.

Northbound Henry Hudson Parkway lanes closed Sunday, August 3 for the 2014 NYC Triathlon
All northbound lanes of the Henry Hudson Parkway leading to the Bronx-bound Henry Hudson Bridge will be closed Sunday, August 3, between 4 a.m. and noon for the biking portion of the annual NYC Triathlon.  Motorists are advised to expect delays and use an alternate route during this period.
The bicycle portion of the event travels up the Henry Hudson Parkway from 79th Street, crosses the bridge, exits at Moshulu Parkway, makes a U–turn at West Gun Hill Road and returns southbound along the same route.

Quick action by Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) Bridge and Tunnel Officers saved more than a dozen people from a raging fire in a four-story apartment building near the Queens Midtown Tunnel this morning.

Verrazano-Narrows Bridge Planned Upper Level Closures

The westbound upper level of the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge will be closed Monday night into Tuesday morning and there will be a full closure of the upper level of the bridge in both directions Tuesday night into Wednesday for the continued removal of steel sign gantries.

Motorists will be able to use the lower level of the bridge, which will remain fully open while this work is done.

Motorists should expect delays and use an alternate route if possible. Each closure is expected to last between 15 and 20 minutes.
