Beginning Monday, May 2nd a new configuration will be in place at the Robert F. Kennedy Bridge's Bronx toll plaza heading to Queens while necessary deck replacement work is completed. The construction will require the round-the-clock closure of two toll lanes.

Henry Hudson Bridge Three Year, $33 Million Project To Rehabilitate Bronx Bound Upper Level Roadway Support Structure Begins In May

A three-year, nearly $33 million construction project at the Henry Hudson Bridge to replace the steel curb stringers that support the upper level roadway on either side of the bridge is set to begin in May.

Lower Level Staten Island-Bound Verrazano-Narrows Closed Sun., May 1st From 12:01 AM to 6 PM

On Sunday, May 1st the lower level of the Staten Island (west) bound Verrazano-Narrows Bridge from all approaches will be closed to all traffic beginning at 12:01 a.m. and ending at approximately 6 p.m. for the annual TD Bank Five Boro Bike Tour.

The upper level of the bridge heading into Staten Island will remain open from the BQE and Belt Parkway approaches only, as will both levels of the bridge traveling into Brooklyn (eastbound).

MTA Bridges and Tunnels is a cleaner, greener and brighter agency thanks to continuing efforts to reduce its carbon footprint. By reducing paper consumption, switching to alternative fuels, recycling, installing energy–saving LED lights and buying certified "green" cleaning agents, B&T has reduced the amount of greenhouse gases released into the air by nearly 1.6 million pounds, or 19 percent since 2006.

Brooklyn-Battery Tunnel East Bound Tube Heading Into Manhattan Closed Thurs., April 21st From 10 AM to 1 PM

Both lanes of the Brooklyn–Battery Tunnel's Manhattan–bound tube will be closed Thurs., April 21st from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. while the New York City Fire Department conducts its semi–annual tunnel inspection.

Two–way traffic will be in effect in the Brooklyn–bound tube during this time.

Motorists are advised that there may be delays and they may want to seek an alternate route.

MTA Bridges and Tunnels To Replace 1.2 Million E-ZPass Tags This Year^Customers Must Return Old Tags To Avoid Fee

It's that time again! Just as batteries in fire alarms and carbon monoxide detectors need to be changed, batteries inside E-ZPass tags can also run down so in 2011 MTA Bridges and Tunnels is sending many of its E-ZPass account holders new tags and postage-paid envelopes to return the old tags.

INTERMITTENT CLOSURES AT ROBERT F. KENNEDY BRIDGE'S HARLEM RIVER LIFT SPAN TUES., APRIL 12th BETWEEN MIDNIGHT AND 5 AM

There will be intermittent, 15–minute full bridge closures at the Robert F. Kennedy Bridge's Harlem River Lift Span on Tuesday, April 12th between Midnight and 5 a.m.

The lifts are for scheduled maintenance and to allow marine traffic to pass beneath the lift span.

Motorists may experience delays and should seek alternate routes

Queens Midtown Tunnel Manhattan Bound Tube Will Have One Of Two Lanes Closed Sunday, April 10th Between 7 a.m. and Noon

The Queens Midtown Tunnel heading into Manhattan will have one of two lanes closed on Sunday, April 10th between 7 a.m. and Noon for necessary maintenance work.

The left hand lane will be closed for the length of the tunnel. Motorists may experience some delays, and may want to use an alternate route.
