RFK Bridge Harlem River Lift Span Intermittent Closures 
There will be multiple, intermittent closures for maintenance work at the Robert F. Kennedy Bridge’s Harlem River Lift Span Fri., March 21 between 12:01 a.m. and 5 a.m. for maintenance work. 
All work is dependent on good weather. Motorists should expect delays and use an alternate route if possible. Each closure is expected to last between 15 and 20 minutes.

There will be multiple, intermittent closures of the Robert F. Kennedy Bridge ramp leading from Manhattan to Queens nightly between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. for approximately two weeks from Thurs., March 20 through Fri., April 4.

RFK Bridge Manhattan/Queens Ramp Full Intermittent Closures Overnight For Two Weeks Beginning Thurs. March 20>The closures will last from 5-10 minutes and are necessary for the installation of new steel beams. All work is dependent on good weather.

Temporary Father Capodanno Ramp In Place at Verrazano-Narrows Bridge
A temporary ramp from Father Capodanno Boulevard onto the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge’s Brooklyn-bound lanes will be in place for the next several months while the original ramp is reconstructed as part of the MTA Bridges and Tunnels $50 million project to improve traffic flow from the bridge’s ramps and approach roadways.

RFK Bridge Manhattan/Queens Ramp Full Intermittent Closures
There will be multiple, intermittent closures of the Robert F. Kennedy Bridge ramp leading from Manhattan to Queens nightly between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. for approximately two weeks beginning Mon., Feb. 24. 
The closures will last from 5-10 minutes and are necessary in order to move steel beams in place using large cranes. All work is dependent on good weather.

New Traffic Pattern At Bronx-Whitestone Bridge Queens Approach
A new traffic pattern went into effect at the Queens approach roadway to the Bronx-Whitestone Bridge on Thursday, Feb. 20 as part of the $109 million reconstruction and rehabilitation project. 
In this next phase of construction, traffic will be shifted around the work zone on the far left-hand lane southbound. A movable barrier will continue to be used to maximize lane capacity during peak drive times with three lanes into the Bronx from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. and three lanes into Queens from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and on weekends.

One Tube Closed All Weekend At Hugh L. Carey Tunnel Feb. 21-24

One tube at the Hugh L. Carey Tunnel will be closed from 9 p.m. Fri., Feb. 21 through 5 a.m. Mon., Feb. 24 as part of the project to replace the tunnel’s original 1950s-era electrical switches and feeder cables.

The remaining tube will have one lane heading into Manhattan and one lane into Brooklyn. Motorists are advised to expect delays and use an alternate route if possible.

New Traffic Pattern At Robert F. Kennedy Bridge’s Manhattan/Queens Ramp  Begins This Weekend
The $50 million design/build project to reconstruct the Manhattan/Queens ramp at the Robert F. Kennedy Bridge moves to the next phase of construction with a new traffic pattern in place beginning Saturday, Jan. 18.
Crews will work overnight beginning 9 p.m. tonight until 10 a.m. Wed., Jan. 15 milling and paving on the ramp. One lane will remain open at all times. Motorists may experience some delays in the morning.
