The Federal law that allows a pretax transit benefit of $230 per month has expired. Therefore, the maximum pretax transit benefit amount is now $125 for 2012. Transit benefit users (including Mail&Ride customers) are advised to adjust their secondary payments to make up the difference.

NOTICE: As of July 1, the MTA Long Island Rail Road and MTA Metro-North Railroad will no longer accept prepaid vouchers as a form of payment for tickets purchased through Mail&Ride as well as at Ticket Offices.
