N.B. Status of Metropolitan Transportation Authority Non-Voting Board Members: The subsection of the Public Authorities Law that provided for non-voting board members to serve on the MTA Board (codified at §1263(1)(a) of the Public Authorities Law) has expired as of January 1, 2010, pursuant to chapter 549 of the Laws of 1994. Therefore, pursuant to law, as of January 1, 2010, the MTA Board consists of the chairman and the sixteen other voting members.
