James L. McGovern is a leveraged finance banker. He has held investment banking positions at GE Capital, Morgan Stanley & Co., TD Securities, and Salomon Brothers, Inc. He holds a B.A. in economics from Boston College and is a member of the Boston College Wall Street Council.

Mr. McGovern lives with his wife and two daughters in Manhasset, New York, and has been a daily commuter on the LIRR since 1998 and is a daily subway rider. He has been the Long Island Rail Road Commuters Council representative to the MTA Board since March 2002. Mr. McGovern was a commuter from the Dobbs Ferry Station on Metro-North from 1992 to 1998.
