Track Work Planned on Two Railroad Bridges Over the Ramapo River
MTA Metro-North Railroad will replace track timbers on two bridges over the Ramapo River near Tuxedo on the Port Jervis Line for the next four weekends beginning this Friday night.
A bus shuttle will be in operation from 11 PM Friday until 3:50 AM Monday to carry customers between Harriman and Ramsey/Route 17 for continued train service to and from Hoboken and Secaucus.

July 4 Weekend Metro-North Service Tailored for Independence
Get a jump on the Independence Day holiday weekend with 17 extra getaway trains leaving Grand Central Terminal between noon and 4 p.m. on Thursday, July 3.
On Friday, July 4th, Metro-North trains will operate on a Sunday/holiday schedule with extra trains in both directions to get folks to and from the Macy’s Fireworks.

MTA Metro-North Railroad Dedicates Restored Main Entry Vestibule at Grand Central Terminal to Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis
MTA Metro-North Railroad, the steward of Grand Central Terminal, today dedicated the Terminal’s fully restored, main entry vestibule at 89 East 42nd Street and Park Avenue (Pershing Square), in honor of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, the former First Lady and iconic New Yorker who led the historic campaign to save Grand Central from destruction in the 1970s. The newly renovated and renamed Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Foyer opens to the public at 1:30 p.m. today.

Reminder: Schedule Adjustments Effective Monday, July 7
Metro-North will make adjustments to its New Haven and Harlem Line service on Monday, July 7, after closely monitoring performance, taking customer counts and listening to customer suggestions following the implementation of the May 11 schedule change.
These changes are intended to improve the customer experience by reducing crowding and enhancing connections.

Limited New Haven Line Train Service Restored with Residual Delays

Metro-North Railroad has announced that limited New Haven Line train service through Norwalk, Connecticut, has resumed with restricted speeds on two of the four tracks on the Walk Bridge. Earlier, train traffic had been suspended between South Norwalk and East Norwalk while crews worked to close the bridge, a 118-year-old swing span that crosses the Norwalk River.

The first train moved eastbound at 6:20 p.m. at a restricted speed of 15 miles per hour. Metro-North anticipates substantial residual delays.

Metro-North New Haven Line Will Be Disrupted for PM Rush Hour

Metro-North Railroad is advising New Haven Line customers that train service through Norwalk, Connecticut, is likely to be suspended during the rush hour this afternoon and evening. Teams of technicians from Metro-North have been unable to fully close the Walk Bridge, which was built in 1896 and swings open to allow marine traffic to pass.
