Metro-North Updates Train Time App to Feature Integrated Train Tracking Map, eTix Connection, Bookmarks and Additional Languages

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) today announced that an update that goes into effect today for the official Metro-North Train Time app includes real-time train tracking map integrated into the app, a one-tap link to view and purchase tickets via MTA eTix, and the ability to bookmark favorite trips and stations. Customers can also now use the app in languages other than English: Chinese, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish and Yiddish.

MTA Metro-North Railroad to Restore Regular Train Service Between Goldens Bridge and Southeast Stations on Harlem Line

MTA Metro-North Railroad today announced that regular train service will resume at 4 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 22 on the upper Harlem Line between the Goldens Bridge and Southeast stations. Crews completed repairs to utility poles, tracks and other infrastructure following damage sustained during Tropical Storm Isaias.

MTA Metro-North Railroad to Restore Limited Train Service Between Wassaic and Southeast, N.Y.

MTA Metro-North Railroad today announced that limited train service will resume at 5 a.m. Monday on the upper Harlem Line between Wassaic and Southeast, N.Y. Trains will operate approximately every two hours during peak periods and every three hours during off-peak times.

MTA, SUNY, CUNY and Microsoft Launch Virtual Hackathon to Improve Real-Time Seating Information for Metro-North Railroad Customers

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA), State University of New York (SUNY), City University of New York (CUNY) and Microsoft today launched a new virtual hackathon that will seek to harness the remarkable creativity and tech skills of students and professionals in the New York metropolitan region to improve real-time train seating availability information for Metro-North Railroad customers. Registration for the virtual hackathon, which is open to students and tech professionals, begins today and will run through Thursday, July 9.
