After 10 p.m. on Friday, August 19, buses will replace select trains on Metro-North Railroad’s Harlem Line at all stations between Wassaic and Southeast. From Saturday, August 20 through 2 a.m., Monday, August 22, substitute bus service will be provided for all trains between Southeast and Wassaic.

Buses will operate 15-30 minutes earlier than scheduled trains. Customers should listen for announcements and check local or express bus service to their destination while boarding.

Metro-North to Continue Weekend Substitute Bus Service Between New Canaan and Stamford From Weekend of July 29 Through Weekend of August 20

MTA Metro-North Railroad today announced that buses will replace trains on Metro-North’s New Canaan Branch on four weekends, beginning July 29-31, and continuing through the weekend of August 19-21. Substitute bus service on all weekends will begin after 10 p.m. on Fridays through the last train of the night on Sundays. Westbound buses will operate 15-20 minutes earlier than scheduled trains. Customers should listen for announcements and check local or express bus service to their destination while boarding.

Southbound Trains Not Stopping at Melrose Station On Saturday, July 30, Through Sunday, July 31

After 11 p.m., on Friday, July 29 Grand Central Terminal-bound trains will not stop at Metro-North Railroad’s Melrose station on the Harlem Line. Regularly scheduled train service will resume at 5 a.m. on Monday, August 1.

To Melrose, Saturday, July 30 – Sunday, July 31 Customers traveling from Westchester or Bronx stations to Melrose will transfer to buses at the Tremont station for continuing service to Melrose. Buses are scheduled to connect directly with arriving trains.

Metro-North Employees Commended for Thwarting Car Theft at Harlem Line’s Southeast Station

MTA Metro-North Railroad today announced that three of its employees were recognized for preventing a car theft at the Harlem Line’s Southeast Station. Metro-North President Joseph Giulietti thanked the employees for their quick thinking and vigilance at today’s meeting of the MTA Board’s Metro-North Railroad Committee.

On Tuesday, June 21, during a routine station inspection, Metro-North Service Quality employees, John Daly, Daniel Thomas and Edward Jaeger observed a suspicious young man in the Southeast Station’s commuter parking lot.
