Revised Schedule For Distribution of First-ever NYC Transit Rider Report Card on 7 Line

While the first-ever report cards developed by NYC Transit will still be distributed to riders during the morning rush hours over three days between Tuesday, July 10th and Thursday July 12th, there has been a change to the distribution schedule. The cards will now be handed out along the line starting with stations in Queens, between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., as follows:

MTA NYC Transit President Howard H. Roberts' Statement on Mass Transit Use and Congestion Pricing

I want to take this opportunity to put into perspective my comments from yesterday's NYC Transit Committee Meeting with respect to congestion pricing. "No room at the inn" during rush hours on the 2, 3, 4, 5, 7 & E lines does not mean that NYC Transit cannot fully support the ridership increases projected for the impact of congestion pricing. These six lines have ample capacity off-peak; we have 16 other subway lines with unused peak capacity, and a bus system.

1 Line Suspensions During Summer Weekends in June and July

For five weekends in June and July, service on the 1 line will be suspended in lower Manhattan in order to allow Port Authority of New York & New Jersey to do excavation work on a portion of the exterior of the 1 line. This foundation work is necessary for the Authority's World Trade Center rebuilding projects.

The 116th Street (Abrazo Fraternal) Festival will be held on Saturday, June 9th from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on 116th Street between Lexington and Second Avenues and along Third Avenue between 106th Street and 122nd Street.

M Line Suspensions Two Weekends in June

For the first two weekends in June, service on the M line will be diverted in order to continue the rehabilitation of the Myrtle-Wyckoff Avenue (LM) Station Complex. From 12:01 a.m. Saturday, June 2 to 5 a.m. Monday, June 4 and from 12:01 a.m. Saturday, June 9 to 5 a.m. Sunday, June 10, free shuttle buses will replace M train service between Myrtle Avenue (on Broadway) and Middle Village-Metropolitan Avenue.
