Service Advisory Weekend Subway Changes Affecting Service on the 123467ACEFGJMNR

Because of capital construction work on the NYC Transit subway system, the following changes will be in place over the weekend. This work is part of NYC Transit's ongoing $10 billion Capital Rebuilding Program aimed at upgrading and maintaining our tracks, stations and signal systems in order to continue to provide our customers with safe and reliable service.

From 12:01 a.m. Saturday, March 8 to 5 a.m. Monday, March 10, 1 trains skip 28th, 23rd, and 18th Streets in both directions due to underpinning work at Cortlandt Street.

New Fare Information Prices Change For Unlimited Ride Metrocards on Sunday, March 2nd

Base fare remains $2.00

On Sunday, March 2nd 2008 at 12:01 a.m., prices of Unlimited-ride MetroCards will change, as part of an overall restructuring of fares and tolls across MTA operating agencies in order to generate a 3.85 percent increase in revenue from these sources as part of the 2008 MTA Budget.

The new Unlimited-ride MetroCard fare structure at NYC Transit is as follows:

- 1-Day Fun Pass $7.50

- 7-Day card $25 (Reduced-Fare $12.50)

- 14-Day card NEW $47 (Reduced-Fare $23.50)

Weekend FG Service Disruptions For March 1-3 Weekend

MTA NYC Transit announced that work will continue on the Bergen Street (FG) signal project during the upcoming weekend, March 1-3. Free shuttle bus service will replace FG trains between Hoyt-Schermerhorn Sts. and 7th Avenue stations in Brooklyn, beginning 12:01 a.m. Saturday and continuing to 5 a.m. Monday.

F trains are running between 4th Avenue (Brooklyn) and Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue and between Jamaica-179th Street (Queens) and Jay Street (Brooklyn), where it replaces the C and continues to Euclid Avenue.

Cold Weather Advisory In Effect For Mta New York City Transit Subways

All Weekend Construction Work is Cancelled

Due to inclement weather, all weekend construction work on the subway system has been cancelled. Subways will follow their normal weekend operating schedule except where affected by the severity of the weather.

7 Express Back On Track

Flushing Line customers, forced to endure local-only service between Times Square and Main Street for the past four weeks while major track and signal work was being performed will be rewarded Tuesday morning February 19th with the return of 7 express service. Full service will begin in time for the morning rush period.

From 12:01 a.m. Saturday, February 16 to 5 a.m. Monday, February 18, downtown 12 trains skip 86th and 79th Streets due to station rehabilitation at 96th Street station.

Weekend JM Service Disruptions For February 16-17 Weekend

MTA NYC Transit announced today that, due to track switch renewal at Broadway Junction, there will be no train service between Cypress Hills and Myrtle Avenue stations, beginning 4 a.m. Saturday, February 16 and ending at 10 p.m. Sunday, February 17. Free shuttle bus service will be available between those stations.

Customers may transfer between the free shuttle bus and the J at Cypress Hills or Myrtle Avenue. They may also transfer between the shuttle bus and the A or L at Broadway Junction.
