Service Advisory for Belmont Stakes

The 140th running of the Belmont Stakes this Saturday afternoon is the event of the weekend and MTA Bus and MTA New York City Transit can help you reach the starting gate in plenty of time for post time and get you back home, too.

MTA Bus will be adding eight buses on the Q110 route starting at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday. Also, service on NYC Transit's Q2 route will be boosted by the addition of six buses to the normal Saturday schedule.

Service Advisory Weekend Subway Changes Affecting Service On The 12356ACDGJNR

Because of capital construction work on the NYC Transit subway system, the following changes will be in place over the weekend. This work is part of NYC Transit's ongoing $10 billion Capital Rebuilding Program aimed at upgrading and maintaining our tracks, stations and signal systems in order to continue to provide our customers with safe and reliable service.

From 12:01 a.m. Saturday, May 31 to 5 a.m. Monday, June 2, uptown 1 trains skip 103rd, 110th, 116th, and 125th Streets due to track and roadbed reconstruction at 110th Street.

MTA NYC Transit Expands Access-A-Ride Service Into Nassau and Westchester Counties

Customers who depend on MTA New York City Transit's paratransit service, Access-A-Ride, will soon be able to take trips across the city line to nearby areas of Nassau and Westchester Counties during an eight-month pilot program for supplemental cross-border transportation service to and from locations just beyond the borders of Queens and the Bronx. Trips will be available to all points within a ¾-mile corridor into the adjacent counties.

Bringing Extra Service Before Holidays

Staten Island customers looking to get a head start on their celebrations will be able to catch earlier afternoon express train service on the day before select holidays, NYC Transit announced today. Beginning on Friday, May 23, 2008, the Staten Island Railway (SIR) will start Early Departure "Get-a-Way" service.

MTA NYC Transit Installs ADA Elevators at 135th St. (Lenox Avenue) on 2 and 3

A major subway stop in Central Harlem is receiving a long-awaited upgrade with the installation of two accessible elevators and a number of other important features valuable to seniors and the mobility impaired, MTA New York City Transit officials announced. The 135th Street/Lenox Ave. station on the 2 3 line serves Harlem Hospital, the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture and a major residential development.

7 Post Game Express Now Stops at Court Square on Game Nights

Beginning tonight immediately after the Mets game, Manhattan-bound 7 Express trains will make one additional stop at the 45th Rd./Court House Square Station. The station, located in Long Island City, will be added to Post Game Express stops at Willets Point, 61st Street/Woodside, Queensboro Plaza, Grand Central, Fifth Avenue and Times Square.

Riders to Grade NYC Transit Bronx Local Bus Service

Beginning Monday, May 12 and continuing through Friday, May 23, Bronx local bus customers will have the opportunity to rate their rides when Bus Rider Report Cards are distributed along routes borough-wide, MTA New York City Transit announced. The distribution will start at the transportation hub at 149th Street and Third Avenue.
