MTACC Completes Renovation of Public Plaza at 63rd Street and Third Avenue

MTA Capital Construction (MTACC) today unveiled its modern update to the public plaza on the northwest corner of 63rd Street and Third Avenue, inviting the community to enjoy the renovated public space. 

As part of an intensive, community-focused design process, the agency held numerous meetings with neighborhood associations, nearby business owners, and representatives from the Royale Condominium, the entity that owns and will maintain the public space. Recommendations by the community were incorporated into the plaza’s final design.

FASTRACK Comes to the 6 Line in Harlem and the Bronx

An extensive list of maintenance, cleaning and repair assignments will be performed along a significant portion of the 6 Line beginning Monday, October 17, when MTA New York City Transit’s FASTRACK program begins the first week of a two-week effort.   FASTRACK work will be performed for four consecutive weeknights, from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

Sutter Av-Rutland Rd and Junius St 3 Line Stations To Close for Five Months for Renewal Work

Beginning 5:00 a.m. Monday, October 3, MTA New York City Transit will close the Sutter Av-Rutland Rd and Junius St stations as part of an ongoing $88 million capital project to rehabilitate seven elevated stations along the New Lots Av 3 line in Brooklyn’s Brownsville and East New York neighborhoods.
