On The Go Travel Station Network Nielsen Rated

MTA New York City Transit, the agency of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority that operates New York City’s bus and subway system, proudly announces that the On The Go Travel Station network has been added to Nielsen’s quarterly Place Based Video Report commencing with its Q4 2014 edition. Nielsen’s quarterly report measures audience impressions for video networks in out-of-home locations, offering agencies and networks an easier way to compare place-based advertising audiences to TV, Internet and Mobile.

Subway Ridership Surges 2.6% In One Year

Subway ridership in New York City grew 2.6% to 1.751 billion customers in 2014, the highest annual ridership in more than 65 years, according to new figures from Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) New York City Transit. Some 5.6 million customers rode the subway on an average weekday and 6 million customers on an average weekend. Weekday ridership rose by more than 132,000 last year, and by more than 500,000 over the last five years.

Rockaway Av and Van Siclen Av 3 Line Stations To Close for Five Months for Renewal

MTA New York City Transit is beginning a major $88 million capital project to rehabilitate seven elevated stations along the 3 Subway Line Icon line on the New Lots Av Branch in the Brownsville and East New York neighborhoods of Brooklyn. The project calls for station renewals at Sutter Av-Rutland Rd, Saratoga Av, Rockaway Av, Junius St, Pennsylvania Av and Van Siclen Av, as well as component repairs at New Lots Av.
