Manhattan-bound Brighton Q Line Platforms at Three Stations to Re-open After 4-Month Closure
On Monday, October 28 at 5 a.m., MTA New York City Transit will re-opened the newly refurbished northbound platforms of the Line stations at Cortelyou Road, Beverley Road and Parkside Avenue in Brooklyn – a full two weeks earlier than scheduled.
The platforms were closed in July for station component work consisting of painting, concrete repair and water leak mitigation at all three stations. In addition, workers replaced the steel stairs at Beverley Road, repaired concrete columns at Parkside Avenue and steel columns at Cortelyou and Beverley Roads.
The Brooklyn-bound side of these stations will close from February to June 2014 to continue the component work. Service notices will be posted in all stations along the Brighton Line and announcements will be made on trains.
