With a fleet-footed fury named California Chrome the odds-on favorite to win the Belmont Stakes and the thoroughbred racing’s Triple Crown, the MTA and New York City Transit buses are ready to go with the fastest and most convenient service to the big event this Saturday, June 7.
Leave the car at home. Why find yourself in stop and go traffic on the Cross Island Parkway, when you can make subway connections or take a bus ride right to Belmont Park
The Q2 buses connect to the F at 169th Street and Hillside Avenue and 179th Street and Hillside Avenue as well as numerous local bus routes at the 165th Street Bus Terminal. The Q110 bus connects to the E and J at Jamaica Center-Parsons-Archer and the F at Parsons Boulevard and Hillside Avenue via a one-block walk. Customers paying bus fare with a MetroCard will receive a free transfer to any of these buses if transferring from the subway.
The Q2 and Q110 buses are extended to stop at the Belmont Park bus terminal on Belmont Stakes Day. Going to the park, customers exit at the escalator leading to the LIRR/Racetrack overpass. Leaving the park, the buses pull up to Lane #3 to pick up customers at the designated Q2 and Q110 bus stops.
The Q2 is operated by MTA New York City Transit. For Q2 bus schedule click here. The Q110 is operated by the MTA Bus Company. For Q110 bus schedule click here.
