It's the exciting, new Getaway package to the Robin Hood Springtime Festival, Connecticut's Renaissance Faire in Guilford, CT. It's happening weekends from April 23rd through May 22nd.

Experience something different with your family.  Escape to the past and experience a romantic age lost to time as you wander the streets of an 11th century springtime faire.

Shop 'til ye drop at New England's largest Medieval Marketplace featuring hand-crafted and unique items you can't find anywhere else! Dine like a king on succulent turkey legs, exotic foods, traditional festival fare, tasty treats and scrumptious desserts at numerous food stalls! Whatever strikes your fancy, you'll find it at The Connecticut Renaissance Faire -- A great day of fun that won't cost you a king's ransom!

The package includes discount round-trip rail fare from your boarding station PLUS discount festival general admission: adults, seniors, persons with disabilities, individuals receiving Medicare, $13, kids 5-12, $6; kids under 5, free. An additional fare for connecting service from New Haven Station to Guilford Station on the Shore Line East service can be bought on board the train or at the New Haven Station.

Getting there:

Take the New Haven Line to New Haven Station and transfer to the Shore Line East train to Guilford Station. The festival takes place at the Guilford Fairgrounds located on Lovers Lane, Guilford, Connecticut, a short walk from the Guilford train station. Check here for an ITINERARY.

The fair is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays (and one Friday) in April and May (April 23, 24, 30 and May 1, 6, 7, 8, 14, 15, 21 & 22, 2011.)
