Holiday Model Train Show Continues Thru January 16

Grand Central Terminal, in the heart of New York City, is a true holiday destination for commuters and tourists alike.

The terminal's unique model train show, free at the New York Transit Museum Annex, has been extended through January 16th. The Holiday Fair market has closed.

For children of all ages, the train show is one of the niftiest scale-model railroad exhibits anywhere - the Tenth Annual Holiday Train Show. It features a selection of vintage toy trains from the New York Transit Museum's Lawrence Scripps Wilkinson collection made by Lionel, American Flyer, and Louis Marx & Company.

Recent limited edition Lionel trains including MTA Long Island Rail Road 175th Anniversary M7 Commuter Train Set, the MTA Metro-North Railroad 25th Anniversary M7 Commuter Train Set, and the MTA R-27 Subway Car Set will also be on display.

This year's exhibition will also feature classic holiday covers from The New Yorker.
