Metro-North can take you to the Boat Show or the Motorcycle Show without the stress of driving or the expenses of parking and gas. They're both at the Javits Center, and getting there from Grand Central is easy. And you can enjoy a memorable meal for less, courtesy of NYC Restaurant Week!
Each year, tens of thousands flock to the New York Boat Show to check out the latest in boats and fishing equipment. Visitors can also attend daily seminars with a full slate of top fishing and boating pros. This year it runs from today, Jan. 4, through Jan. 8. For more details, visit nyboatshow.com.

Come back later in the month for the Progressive International Motorcycle Show, which runs from Jan. 20-22. It exhibits the latest motorcycle models and accessories including apparel, ATV accessories, fairing and parts, goggles and eyewear, helmets and more. While you are in town, enjoy a restaurant you've always wanted to try. You can save money while you're at it during NYC Restaurant Week, which runs from Jan. 16 through Feb. 10. See NYCgo.com for more info.
The Javits Center is just a quick cab ride from Grand Central. Or you can catch the M42 bus westbound to Eleventh Avenue. Then walk four blocks south to reach the Javits Center.
