Music lovers can swipe their MetroCards and take the 1 train or M5, M7, M20, M66, or M104 bus to Lincoln Square at 66th Street and Broadway. The Lincoln Square Free Summer Concert Series at Richard Tucker Park will be held every Wednesday from July 4 through August 29, from Noon until 2:00 p.m.

Everyone is invited to bring lunch, join friends and enjoy performances by a diverse mix of New York City's most talented and eclectic musicians and singers. In addition to great music, YogaWorks will be holding free restorative stretch sessions in between music sets for people looking for a lunch time cool down.

This weekly series of free lunch time performances is presented by the Lincoln Square Business Improvement District (BID) in partnership with the MTA's Arts for Transit's Music Under New York (MUNY) program.

Music Under New York is one of many visual and performing arts programs administered by Arts for Transit. For over 20 years, MUNY has provided customers in the transit system with daily music performances. More than 350 soloists and groups participate in MUNY providing over 7,500 annual performances at 30 locations throughout the transit system.

Through these live performances at Richard Tucker Park, New York City celebrates the diversity of music and cultures and the great opera star, tenor Richard Tucker (1913-1975) who worked as a cantor before joining the Metropolitan Opera for a long and distinguished career.
