Last week’s derailment and subsequent sideswipe in Bridgeport was a serious and significant occurrence, and we assure you that all Metro-North employees are working diligently to operate the railroad in the safest possible manner. Meanwhile, our first concern is with the families and friends of those affected by this tragic incident. We want to thank the first responders, fellow customers, and the affected communities who provided support and assistance throughout this difficult time. We are actively supporting the National Transportation Safety Board in conducting an exhaustive investigation that will determine the cause of the incident.
