Work to Restore Regular L Service to Continue into the Evening

Repairs being made to damaged signal equipment between Myrtle Av-Wyckoff Av & Broadway Junction will impact service on the L Subway Line into the evening on Friday.  The following service changes will remain in effect:

  • There will be no L Subway trains between Broadway Junction and Myrtle Av- Wyckoff Av in both directions.  Shuttle buses will continue to operate making corresponding stops between Myrtle Av-Wyckoff Av and Broadway Junction.
  • There will be limited L Subway train service running between Canarsie-Rockaway Pkwy and Broadway Junction.
  • There will also be reduced L Subway service between Myrtle Av-Wyckoff Av and 8 Av in Manhattan.

Customers from Manhattan headed beyond Myrtle Av-Wyckoff Av station should avoid taking the L Subway from Manhattan to Myrtle Av-Wyckoff Av.  Instead, customers should take the A SubwayC Subway or J SubwayZ Subway to Broadway Junction for the bus to closed stations between Myrtle Av-Wyckoff Av & Broadway Junction or the L Subway train to Canarsie-Rockaway Pkwy.  Customers can also take the M Subway to Myrtle Av-Wyckoff Av.

Manhattan-bound customers from Canarsie can transfer at Broadway Junction for A SubwayC Subway or J Subway trains for further service into Brooklyn and Manhattan.

Crews are on site working to restore normal service as quickly as possible. Workers could not get to the outdoor location until sunlight and dense fog had cleared earlier this morning.

Customers should allow additional travel time and monitor service status on for updates.
