Design Inspiration
As a kid in Greenwich Village, Colette used to mimic "hippie chic" by pinning discontinued subway tokens to her denim jacket. Seeing various old tokens at the New York Transit Museum brought back fond memories, which inspired her to create the Metro Coin Bib Necklace. Colette's dripping-strand necklace is made of vintage bus and subway tokens which are connected with 18-karat white gold and hang from chains of sterling, brass, copper, and nickel. Sterling toggle and ring closure complete the piece.
