The exhibition Fashion Underground: Subway-Inspired Accessories , and the concurrent auction to benefit the New York Transit Museum, is a collaboration between the Council of Fashion Designers of America, the New York Transit Museum, and MTA New York City Transit.

The Council of Fashion Designers, Inc. (CFDA) is a not-for-profit trade association whose membership consists of 274 of America's foremost fashion and accessory designers. Visit www.cfda.com for additional information about the organization's mission, members, and programs.

The New York Transit Museum, housed in an authentic, 60,000 sq. ft. 1930s subway station in Brooklyn Heights, is the largest museum of public transportation history in the United States. The Museum's comprehensive collection and programs trace the cultural, social, and technological history of public transportation in the New York region.

This exhibition has been supported, in part, by Dewar's 12, Macy's East, the New York State Council on the Arts, a state agency, the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, and the Metropolitan Transportation Authority.
