Responsibilities:
Training Program Assistant responsibilities include, (but not limited to):
- Assist with creating, updating and formatting Power Point slide shows
- Assist in technical and creative program and program material design
- Research and organize information through via multiple sources (including Internet)
- Organize and update training reports and provide administrative assistance
- Travel to nearby facilities to assist with various aspects of training
Special Qualifications or Background Needed:
Candidates should be adept communicators who are interested in further developing verbal and written skills; proficiency in Microsoft applications is required along with the ability to work in a diverse, professional, administrative and creative environment.

program in the country. We can be seen in 22 million homes per week.
In-fact Transit Transit News Magazine can be seen everyday on 30 cable
stations in the New York Tri-state area (including Cablevision & Time
Warner), and is broadcast on WNYE-TV Ch. 25 the local PBS station every
Saturday at 3:30 pm. We feature interesting places, things to do, history,
science and mass transit issues and employee communications.
Responsibilities:
Broadcast scriptwriting, news writing and on-air reporting. Prospective
interns should have the ability to tell a story on camera and look professional.
Also should be able to keep deadlines and establish a team work environment.
Must be able to research and develop stories ideas.
Special Qualifications or Background Needed:
Must commit a minimum of 14 hours per week (two full days 9-5). Familiarity
with Betacam, ENG/EFP equipment and videotape editing helpful.

Overview of Dept/Division: TIS is one of the many divisions under the Department of the Executive Vice President. Its mission is to partner with our customers in high quality, business-driven, cost-effective information technology services. This assignment will be in the Technology Partnering Customer Relationship Management Unit that is responsible for providing enhanced technology services that are valued by TIS customers and Operating/Support Divisions throughout NYCT. The unit is staffed with Customer Relationship Managers (CRM) who provides services that focus on building relationships, understanding customer business, coordinating and facilitating solutions to information technology issues, offering new technology products to meet business needs, Quality Assurance and Marketing.
Responsibilities: The Technology Analyst interns will plan, develop, and coordinate the first NYCT Business Technology (BTech) Fair. This Fair will showcase the current, near-term and long-term technology initiatives that drive the various businesses in NYCT. Current initiatives include timekeeping, desktop and computerized maintenance management systems; near-term initiatives that will change the way we do business in the future include global positioning satellite tracking and service management systems for fixed route buses and paratransit, automated train supervision management systems, real-time customer information systems at the subway stations and bus stops; and long-term initiatives being tested include virtualization of computer systems software, RFID systems, mobile/ handheld information management systems and several others. These interns will be working with the business units and CRMs assigned to Subways, Buses, Engineering and Construction Departments, and the remaining support departments. They will investigate which technologies will be appropriate to include in the fair, collect data and assist in putting together the marketing portfolio and developing the technical, field and off-field demonstration programs, coordinate any support for manning of the technology booths and ensure that the fair is administered successfully.

stewardship programs, including NYC Transit s system-wide recycling program

Responsibilities:
The Intern will assist the Materials Management Specialist by utilizing various
marketing strategies, processing sales orders for Transit memorabilia, answering
customer service calls, processing rejected material reports and performing
general office duties. The Intern will also assist with photographing/printing
photos and preparing advertising for sales items. There is an opportunity
to learn about the marketing strategies and materials management systems
employed by NYC Transit.
