College
Aide Program
You must apply through your college career coordinators/advisors
in order to qualify for any student program.
- This is a paid internship program for experience
- Your school’s career services coordinator will help
you access job descriptions.
The college aide program is open to juniors, seniors and graduate students who meet
the following criteria (F1 students are ineligible for this program):
- Enrolled in a degree program in an accredited college or university
- Minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 (undergraduate) and 3.0 (graduate)
- Undergraduates: must be a full-time student carrying a minimum of 12 credits in a degree program while attending an accredited 4 year college
- Graduate: may be a part-time student carrying 6 credits in a degree program while attending an accredited 4 year college
- Commit to a minimum of 20 hours per week for the full internship period
Internship
Programs 
Unpaid – For experience and/or credit only. Many NYC Transit employees
began their careers in an internship program.
Open to juniors, seniors and graduate students who meet the following criteria (F1 students are eligible for this program):
- Enrolled in a degree program in an accredited college or university
- Minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0 (undergraduate) or 3.0 (graduate)
- Must be enrolled in a degree program at an accredited college in a part-time status (3 credits minimum)
- Commit to a minimum of 14 hours weekly for the full internship period
Please note: Students enrolled in a degree program in a two-year school who need an internship to meet degree requirements must have a minimum of 50 credits and should contact the school's career services coordinator to enroll in the appropriate internship class. Students who opt for an internship for personal development and work experience must have 60 credits but may not need the internship class.

The Corps of Transit Engineers
(CTE) Program
Qualified applicants must be college juniors or seniors who can work
part-time during the school year and/or full-time during the summer as
Engineering Trainees.
Work with people who design and build multi-million-dollar subway projects.
You must be a US citizen or have permanent resident status.

Open to college undergraduate and graduate students who work 35 hours
a week during the school year. Minimum grade point averages and other
