Responsibilities: The incumbent in this position will be responsible for implementing processes to identify and evaluate major risks/opportunities associated with capital project cost and schedule. The incumbent will direct the performance of risk assessments for large-scale and complex capital projects while coordinating input from a broad range of stakeholders throughout NYCT. The incumbent will also coordinate related efforts within Program Controls and with CPM Program Areas and will manage consultant activities to efficiently support the risk assessment process. The incumbent will lead the development and evaluation of risk mitigation strategies and will monitor their implementation and effectiveness. Duties will include preparation of reports and presentations for senior management and functioning as the risk assessment liaison with oversight, support and funding entities.

Exper. & Educ.: A Baccalaureate degree in Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration or a related discipline and a minimum of ten years of related experience with at least five years of managerial/supervisory experience. A satisfactory equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.

Desired Skills: In-depth knowledge of engineering design/construction practices, construction project scheduling and cost estimating techniques. Direct experience relating to the management of large capital projects and/or experience in the risk analysis field on major construction projects is preferred.
