When to Shop and When to Stop
By Michael Levy, director, travel training

What happens if you try to board an AAR vehicle with a shopping cart filled with appliances, bulky rolls of paper towels, etc? The driver applies AAR policy: No more than two bags/parcels are allowed, and they cannot weigh more than a total of forty pounds. Your shopping cart must be folded, which means you must hold the packages that were in the cart.

A driver will not allow a very bulky item onto the vehicle, even one weighing less than forty pounds, if it fills a seat or is a tripping hazard. So, use AAR to visit your favorite markets and stores, but please understand you must fold your shopping cart and board the AAR vehicle with no more than two bags weighing no more than a total of forty pounds.
