Special Notice: World Trade Center-Chambers St E Line iconstation accessibility

Due to ongoing construction at the World Trade Center site, the E Line icon elevator will not be in service. If you rely on the elevator service at this location, the following information will help you plan alternate travel. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience you may experience.  Service on the E Line icon will continue to operate normally with the exception of late night and weekend planned service changes.  Please consult planned service change posters in stations or online by clicking here for more information.

West 4 St and 14 St-8 Av stations are the closest ADA- accessible stations along the E Line icon line to the World Trade Center-Chambers St E station.

Below are travel directions between the World Trade Center area and either the West 4 St or the 14 St Station, depending on the direction in which you are traveling. Special directions for customers traveling late nights follow.

West 4 St on the A Line icon B Line icon C Line icon D Line icon E Line icon F Line icon and M Line icon lines.
Uptown: From World Trade Center site to West 4 St Station.  Board the uptown M5 bus on Church St at Vesey St (located one block east of the current elevator site). Get off on 6 Av at West 3 St.

14 St/8 Av on the A Line icon C Line icon E Line icon L Line icon lines
Downtown: From 14 St/8 Av to World Trade Center area.  Board the downtown M20 bus on 7 Av at 14 St (located one block east of the current elevator site). Get off on Chambers St at Hudson St.

Special directions for customers traveling late nights

Uptown: M5 service runs from 5:45 a.m. to 1:20 a.m. on weekdays, 6:10 a.m. to 1:20 a.m. on Saturdays, and 6:40 a.m. to 1:20 a.m. on Sundays.
Downtown:  M20 service runs from 6:15 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. on weekdays, 8 a.m. to 12:45 a.m. on Saturdays, and 7 a.m. to 12:20 a.m. on Sundays.

If you require wheelchair accessible service when these buses are not running, please call Bus Command Center at 718-927-7862. During these hours, PATH Customer Assistance phones, located at the PATH mezzanine level and street level can be used to make this call.
Service will be provided between the World Trade Center-Chambers St area and the 14 St/8 Av Station as follows:

Uptown:   From World Trade Center area to 14 St/8 Av.
Pick-up location from World Trade Center Station area is on Church St at Vesey St. Drop-off location at 14 St station is on 14 St at 8 Av (elevator is located at end of bus stop).

Downtown: From 14 St/8 Av to World Trade Center area. Pick-up location at 14 St station is on 14 St at 8 Av (westbound). Drop-off location at World Trade Center Station area is Vesey St at Church St.

• Continue on the 6 Line icon to Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall, or
• Transfer at 42 St-Grand Central from the 6 to the 4 Line icon or 5 Line icon and continue to Bowling Green

Long Island Rail Road Customers:
If you normally take the LIRR to Penn Station and transfer to the downtown E Line icon, consider this alternative:

Take the LIRR to Flatbush Av-Atlantic Av in Brooklyn, and then take the 2 Line icon or 3 Line icon to the Chambers St station.
