Brighton Line Rehabilitation Projects

Plan your trip in advance with Plan&Ride

Dear Customer:

MTA New York City Transit’s construction projects along the Brighton B Line Subway Link Q Line Subway Link line in
Brooklyn will affect subway service over the next two years.  During construction there
will be no express B Line Subway Link Q Line Subway Link service as we work to rehabilitate seven stations along the line.

As discussed at Community Board and public meetings over the last four years, complete
rehabilitation of the Avenue U, Neck Road, Newkirk Avenue, Avenue H, Avenue J, Avenue M and
Kings Highway stations necessitates service changes.

Here is an update on work that has been completed:

  • Rehabilitation of the Coney Island-bound platforms at Avenue U and Neck Rd stations.

  • In response to your feedback, we added a canopy on the temporary platform at Avenue J and reduced the distance of the gap between the train and the temporary platform. An additional control area at Avenue J was also added.

  • The Sheepshead Bay, Ocean Parkway and Brighton Beach stations work included replacement of some of the exterior doors, interior painting and glass replacement. We also thoroughly power washed these stations.

Please know that my staff and I are available to you if you have any questions or concerns.
You can e-mail us at any time at: E-mail your Line General Manager.
